The Francophone Child Care Resource and Referral (FCCRR), a service of le Phare C.-B., is organizing the first provincial conference dedicated to professionals in Francophone school and preschool child care centres, on May 1 and 2, 2026, in Richmond.
In this way, the FCCRR fulfills one of its mandates by offering opportunities to strengthen the capacities of professionals, while creating a strong and united network to address the various challenges in the child care services sector in British Columbia.
Under the theme Tisser des liens, ouvrir des perspectives (building connections, opening perspectives), the conference will serve as a meeting space where the various actors in the field of early childhood will have the opportunity to create lasting connections and relationships that will allow for continued discussions and sharing of expertise among peers beyond these two days. Renowned experts have been invited to share their knowledge and exchange ideas with participants on various topics of interest to them, in addition to a variety of relevant training sessions offered throughout the day on Saturday.
Recognition Awards
An awards ceremony is also planned during the opening night to highlight educators who have particularly distinguished themselves during the year, in order to recognize their exceptional work, creativity, and leadership.
Parents are invited to nominate an educator deserving of an award, explaining how this person has made a remarkable contribution through their daily practice, via this form.
The award categories are: Excellence in Leadership Award | Excellence in Teaching Award (multiple awards possible) | Excellence in a Family Setting Award | Francophone Engagement Award.
This event will serve to support all stakeholders in the Francophone early childhood sector with the aim of providing quality educational services within all Francophone communities across the province.
