The Fédération des parents Meets with Parents’ Associations in their Regions to Train, Inspire, and Exchange Ideas

Parents’ associations are at the heart of the mission of the Fédération des parents. The Fédération provides them with tools and support to help them fulfill their mandate.

Support for parents, particularly newly elected parents within their parents’ association, is provided in several ways. This support includes meetings (virtual and in-person), networking (conferences, the Facebook APÉ group), access to relevant information, and workshops specifically designed to meet parents’ varied needs and offered on-site in their communities. These strategies aim to strengthen the knowledge, equip, and support the dynamism of parent volunteers.

In order to support their work and to assist newly elected parents in particular, several essential themes will be addressed, including the mandate and functioning of a parents’ association, engagement strategies, and the roles within a board, to name a few. All this will be done in a relaxed atmosphere conducive to collective learning.

In addition to the training, the meetings with members in their regions will also allow the Fédération des parents to better understand the specific realities of each association, build relationships with newly elected parents, and strengthen the sense of community within our network. These meetings provide a unique space to share experiences, ask questions, and explore avenues of action to help parents’ associations grow.

In this way, the Fédération des parents reaffirms its commitment to supporting the work of its member associations, by adapting to their needs and facilitating access to information and resources throughout the year.
